GALAXY RAIDER adds to Grahame Begg's winning streak!

There is no stable in more form than that of the boutique Grahame Begg stable who for the third week running won a metropolitan Saturday race – this time with $17 outsider and All Star Mile hopeful GALAXY RAIDER. The 7yo came with a swooping run and has now won two consecutive Flemington races under young gun Teodore Nugent.

The bright yellow silks of Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock were also to the fore with the Saab Hassan stable who had their stable flagbearer SIRIUS SUSPECT lead all the way down the Flemington straight for a brave second-up victory. FABRIC returned to winning form in a super impressive run to score easily for the team at Danny O'Brien Racing. The opening race also saw the Yulong silks salute when Snowden trained MOUNT TABORA, a American bred galloper, got favourite backers off to a good start on the program.

On a damp Saturday at Randwick, Goulburn trainer Mark Gee opened the day's racing with CAP'S BOY first to past the post. GOD OF THUNDER got the job done for Darby Racing, while Australian Bloodstock and Kris Less put the polish on SPECIAL REWARD in the Group 3 Southern Cross Stakes – the horses seventh win from just 13 starts. SWEET DEAL also took out the Triscay Stakes at Group 3 win, a valuable win for the John Thompson stable. The Casino Prince mare was first-up from a spell and ridden to an all the way win by Nash Rawiller.

Richard and Chantelle Jolly enjoyed success at Morphettville on Saturday when REGALO DI GAETANO gave inform young apprentice Lachlan Neindorf a city win in the tightest of finishes over 1600 metres, while BALLAST claimed Race 3 for Jordan Frew.

Chris Munce also didn’t miss out on a win at Eagle Farm when $21 chance STAMPE was ridden by Sean Cormack – a progressive young three-year-old.

To the west and David Harrison picked up a double at Ascot with MEDIA BARON making it back to back wins and the young Snippetson filly SUNNYSILK who claimed the 2YO Plate.
